We would have to build some extremly large spacecraft, livestock, plants, to keep the civilization in order. And, if it fails, you could have thousands or even millions of lives at stake.

It'd probably be EASIER to terraform Mars, if you take it seriously. Humanity plans its next big step to terraform mars into a liveable planet with greenhouse gasses (to warm the planet up) and to fill up the river.

@Armord Most likely, huh? Think about it... hundreds of billions of stars in our galaxy, and most have planets. Don't you think that possibly there is another Earth-like planet around one of those stars, and maybe even life on that planet?

@armord your comment to funnel was wrong probes don't come back after they've been 5 billion kms away from us there left on the planet or left to drift aimlessly, missions like viking come back and give us soil samples but theres a big difference from 75 million kms to 5 billion kms (viking mission is 75 million kms and voyager is 5 billion kms + because its still out-there) now notice the "its still out-there" so probes that go to the edge of the solar system don't come back. second the moon is 1/6 of eart

4/5 for the map by the way, you need to add the rest of asia and there are massive islands in the middle of the indian and pacific ocean, if the one island in the pacific is the galapogos islands or hawaii you need to shrink it down a bit. if the islands in the indian ocean are the maldives or are seychelles ( not sea shells )you also need to shrink, it but for the first part of the map good job.

@armord don't you think that aliens would be hostile, what happens when people are scared what do they do? beside hide... they attack it, crush make sure it never comes back. now if you were an alien species thats never seen this splodgy bit of flesh and bone your gona be affraid nows theres two options. Hide and never come back or take a chance and kill it, now if i was an ultra advanced race of aliens that are able to travel thousands of lightyears from a galaxy the second option would seem a good idea. You guys seem to be acting silly. By Europe he meant to say Europa. Europa as some of you know is a moon in our solar system that people suspect can support slight plant life and water. Now, of course, in 2020 we wouldn't be CLOSE to going to any other place to live besides Earth, but hell, we are getting closer every year or so. We could live on Mars, but according to predictions, to terraform it enough to live on and sustain life will take approx. 1000 years or more.
