After a few years in development, I am proud to release my F-18 Hornet.
Features
TLDR: F-18 from Battlefield 3 with identical functions and features.
-Landing Gears
- Raise and lower landing gears with your Light Key(L)
- Raised landing gears will enable weapons
-Weapon Selection System
- Press Next Seat(.) to switch between weapons.
- You can only use weapons when your gears are up
-M61 Vulcan Gatling Cannon
- Your standard all purpose machinegun
- Slows down if fired for too long. Give it some time too cool down.
-Mark 84 Bomb
- Your standard freefall bomb.
- Drops at same velocity of jet.
-AIM-9 Sidewinder
- Air to vehicle homing missile.
- Aim your jet at a target to obtain a lock. You must be aiming at all time to continue keeping the lock.
- Once your display shows the locked vehicle, you may now fire the missiles.
-Flares
- Deploy flares to throw off an incoming missile.
- Incoming missiles will lock on to flares.
- 11 second regeneration time.
- Incoming Missle Detection System
- HUD message and sound that will alert the pilot of Incoming Missiles
-Afterburner
- Hold space to engage Afterburners.
-Damage Emitters

-Engine Start-Up Sequence with sound
-HUD
- showing speed, current weapon, missile status, landing gear status, crosshair, and vehicle health.
-Animated Rudder
-Explodes and gibs on crash
when the F-18 is "wrecked", it can still fly for 10 seconds. If it gains an additional 100 damage, it will be destroyed instantly.

Give her some room to take off.
Because of my current status on BL forums, I will be unable to answer questions directly. So I will try my best to address them here.
A good console log would help me fix this issue
Elaborating on locking missiles...
When you switch to missiles, the jet will constantly check for vehicles and players in the forward direction. It does this by creating a line of containers. When the jet finds a target, it will set the target as a potential target and count down until it reaches a full lock. Once the fully locked the pilot will be allowed to fire the missiles but the target must be within the forward field of view to retain the lock. On the topic of the flare code, the F18 missile is the only projectile compatible. When the rocket is fired, it constantly checks for a flare projectile that is in its radius container. Currently, the f18 flare is compatible with the f18 missile.
Notes:
If there are bugs, please bring it to my attention. Providing a console.log of the incident will give me more information than "i can't switch weapons"
The console log can be found in your main blockland folder.
