This is the old Asteroids map made by U.S. Air Marshall, edited and fixed by me(this was the first time I have tried scripting maps). You can get his version from RTB2, but when I tried it, it didn't work, and after looking at the script I thought I could make it better and fix it.

The skybox includes a distant sun and a galaxy. The map itself includes plenty of asteroids, and the map is like a slate map except for the fact that there are floating objects. You can't build on the asteroids, and I am sorry, but I can't fix that. You can walk/drive on them though. Gravity is normal. Lighting isn't bright, but it isn't dull either. It's a pretty fun map to mess around on :3

Updates:
-Better skybox
-Better galaxy
-Better rock textures
-Giant ghostly wrench floating in the South East(I intended to have this non-collisioned)
-Sun/star is colored better

Three requests:
-Make the asteroids buildable
-Lower (or remove) the gravity
-Remove the "Slate" floor so you fall off the asteriods into infinity

I agree. This map reminded me of the game Shattered Horizon (a FPS with no gravity and you can turn upside down)

Blockland, the game where you build stuff, not where you get lost in space and you cant build on anything.

Thats why there is ground on this map

You completely changed the subject, I agree with Bomb Kirby, this is Blockland, not a random space FPS to fall off asteroids into dark space.

I rate 7/10 because we cant build on the asteroids.

I will rate 10/10 if and update come out for this map to allow asteroid building.

The texture on the asteroids could be better, and i want gravity anyways.

That is all. You guys can make edits without grav, but i want it.

Some of the astroids collisions are off and you appear to be walking inside it but other than that and the fact you can not build on the astroids directly the map is great

The vehiclas also can not be on the astroids very long soon after putting one on an astoid it will fall through it. :(

[size=85]FYI: If you read all of it, it's like a slate map. There is a solid invisible ground that you can build on. You just can't build on the asteroids due to them being only static shapes. I will most likely not be able to fix the building on asteroids issue, but I will try. I will also try to get a new rock texture.

Oh, and if I remove the floor, you won't be able to build anywhere :/ unless you mean make it like the Build-A-Space-Station map, but I don't think people want that.[/size:d7b5dv1

Fucking sucks.

Here's your criticism.

Your skybox is stolen from the pluto map.
You cannot build on asteroids.
Your textures for the asteroids still look like shit even on high settings.
You didn't even put enough asteroids in. I count about 10 of them.

Dude, seriously?

He asked that you do not post hateful shit about this. He already said that it wasn't stolen. The skybox is completely different from the pluto map's skybox, which was actually a copy of the one from the celestial dreams map. That one's galaxy is blue and sky-blue, this one is vanilla yellow and white. The size is different anyway, as the one in celestial dreams, er, p

If u want to make the asteroids solid then delete them and make an interior with like 30 or so asteroids.
also i was thinking of making this only in a Nebula and with the asteroids being all one interior... Until my Torque Constructor stopped working

@Seventh: Seriously Seventh, deal with it. If you want to complain like a little brat, then go complain to the original creator.

@AndreZ: I did not make the rocks, and yes I have tried to change them from a TSStatic shape to and InteriorInstance, but it does not work. The problem is, I can't model anymore. I tried using Milkshape, but it expired, and even if it didn't or if I got Blender, I'm not sure I would know what to do still(once again, new to modeling, and new to map scripting). You could try to fix

@Zloff: If i can, I would but my Torque Constructor is grape which I have already said...
Also I have tried stuff like that myself (only it was a while ago with MS3D and it crashed when i tried exporting it(and the asteroids looked more like spikeballs)). If I tried that now in MS3D with the asteroids looking different I might be able to get it done. There is still a chance I may need Torque Constructor...

Also, i find the asteroids and galaxy quite useful as a backdrop for a giant space station i'm building.

Also, has anyone figured out where you can get that /help GUI that red guy has on his infinite mining server?

The only thing I don't like about this is that I can't completly stand on the astriod...ah well...can't argue with blocks...I mean...in blockland...of course! DUH! It's all made of blocks!
