This map is (part of) a large house in the style of the default Bedroom and Kitchen maps, in which you are can build in the large environment. Build on the coffee table, build a bridge to the couch, or race jeeps across the room!

No, I'm not adding game consoles. I may (Just may) add a DVD player at some point, that would be neat.

oh and marcem a DVD player wouldnt be necessary a PS3 can play BLU-RAY DVD's so adding a dvd player would pretty much be pointless.

Because it's not a good idea. You can't create things with good detail if you're making a whole house.

You could model the bedroom, delete the door or turn it 90 degrees then attach it to the family room and then profit.
