Left 4 Dead Survivor

A player-type that is limited to holding certain categories of item in each slots.
Primary - Anything not defined in a file goes here
Secondary - Backup pistols, melee weapons
Grenade - Throwable or droppable items like HE Grenades, Molotovs, Propane Tanks
Full Heal - Primary healing slot for Medkits
Pills - Temporary/Secondary healing slot

Picking up some items allows you to 'dual wield' them. Currently supports the Gun, SolarFlare's Revolver and Bushido's Pistol.

A default configuration comes with the mod, it also writes files to config/server/L4DSurvivor which you can edit after running a server with it once to add more weapons to the slots.

I think there is a glitch, After being downed you loose all your weapons and items.

Will this have any relation with ZAPT in the future, seeing that many names in the lists found in the add-on don't exist yet?

I added some items in the lists like the "Adrenaline" and "Defibrillator" just in case somebody makes them in future.

Some of Bushido's unreleased weapons are also on the lists so they'll be compatible when released.

I wonder how a defibrillator would work. Perhaps there could be a minigame option that if someone dies in a certain zombie mode, or loses all lives in a deathmatch of some sort, the dying body would be preserved instead of destroyed, unless the player left or something. Well, someone could go up to the guy with the defibrillator and bring him back to life.

@Tylerman: Yes I think It is.

As much as I love this Add-on I wish It still made the player move slower with damage like the Survivor Player Type.

If this did that too I would love that.

You can set your own weapons to the slots by the text files in config/server.

Yea. The Dual Handguns is being put in the primary slot. If you could put a new GUI in the Server Preferences that would perfect this.

4/5 Duals need to be in secondary, and you need to and make a gui to configure the slots. (replace pills slot with melee, secondary with melee etc.)

Space guy is right. Just go to your add-ons folder and find L4D_Survivor, open the file, click secondary, right click secondary, (after you left click on it) click open, put the weapons you want in it (has to be exact or wont work) then click save, save it in a file you know is easy to access, go to your folder, right click secondary, click cut, go to L4D_Survivor, right click in an empty space, and click paste. when it asks you if you want to replace the file secondary click yes. there you go. any weapons
