Metroid Mod

Since the base of the mod (the power beam and player type) is done, I decided to upload it as an early Christmas present. Don't worry though, I promise this will get updated with the new weapons as I finish them ;D


Anyway, the mod is based on the Metroid games (Mainly MPH because it had great multiplayer) and currently has the power beam and Samus player type.

The player type jumps a little higher and runs a little faster to emulate Samus, but doesn't have a morph feature. To make up for this, the crouch movement is slightly faster than normal.

The power beam weapon acts like it does in MPH, except instead of a missile mode, it simply fires a single missile when you right click. Charging currently does not do extra damage, and I can't think of anyway to fix this.

Enjoy the mod, and I'll make sure it gets updated often! Also, credit goes to Tommy for the nice model. :3

Dalek, the stuff that has been released so far is finished. I am just going to add new weapons, maps, etc. later. Also, I doubt I will finish the morph ball any time soon.

I love the Metroid series, but this idea is a superb one.
But then []----[] told me him and a friend of his was making a Varia Suit mod. But still, amazing idea!

Very cool, but here are some playertypes that would be fun to add, Ridley, Meta Ridly, Omega Ridly, Metroid, and Metroid Prime.

Titanium, I can't yell at you for being a moron yet, because I can't tell if this guy is the moron for making something that was already going to be made, but possibly better, but for now the cannon looks weird, the explosions suck, and your hand is sticking out. so for now, I give you a 7/10.

This is funny as hell. I made an Arm Cannon a while back, about v10, and havent released. Anyone and Everyone will have the same idea, just let it go, if you make a mod someone else made also, then just deal with it. There is no sense in bitching at each other, i doubt either would delete their add-on.

-On Topic- Well this has a great model i must say, but the script itself isnt all that appealing. Ima screw around with it and see what i can do, if i bind this with my already made arm cannon then it may tu

the powerbeam is so weak that it takes about 50 shots to kill a tank zombie. missles look like crap, and dont make noise upon collision with an object. they arent very strong either. plz make more powerful update.

4000 divided by 50 is 80.

You might be able to increase damage by charging by using code from the Beam Rifle, which has a similar 'charge up for higher damage' thing.

Why dont you make the beams in The Metroid Prime series like wave, ice, plasma, light, dark, annhilator, and nova as all seperate weapons and just make them in different colors and make the models different
