Melee Wrench

Requested by Block1zilla.

This is the wrench item with the exception that it is a melee item. I don't really tend to work with items,vehicles etc much so I used this old tutorial and made some slight variations. When I tested it for Block1zilla it seemed to work well so I decided I'd put it out there in case anyone else wanted it.

35 damage per hit.

Personally, I think it should do more damage though. Seriously, beating someone with a wrench 7 times for them to die? More like 3 or 4.....or less.

Yea I might update it and increase the damage to around 30-35. The guy who requested it wanted 15 damage but that is kinda low.

No then 99.9 damage is done, not 100.

Setting it to 34 or 35 will result in a 3 hit kill anyway. I'll make it 35.

The TF2 Basic melee pack (or whatever has all those weapons in it) has a wrench that works like a melee weapon. It's a bit darker in color though.

It also has an "onTF2wrenchhit" input event. This add-on isn't really new, but it may have a different damage output.

I'm not saying it is new. When I saw the request topic I did a quick search but couldn't find it and I didn't really check packs. The reason I put this here is basically an easy way for people to find it if they are looking for if they are not interested in looking through or downloading packs to get it.

Now only if there was a gold-colored one, similar to the Golden Wrench in TF2: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Golden_Wrench
(not sure if it is possible to color the player gold on death though)

I think Pecons boss battles has a gold one, and yea it is possible.

Its very simple if you know how to script.

@dargereldren of course it's possible. you can already make your avatar gold, and the paint can can change people's color.
