Chat Emotes
1 KB, 11 years ago, submitted by
I've seen the lack of a proper client-sided (now also server-sided) chat emotes mod, and decided to make one. This supports an infinite amount of emotes that you can add easily without fiddling with scripts.
Simply place any .png image in the base/emotes folder (create it if it doesn't exist), such as "whatever.png". Typing [](/whatever) in the chat will cause that emote to appear for everyone who has this add-on and a "whatever.png" file in their emotes folder.
By default, this add-on will not do anything. You need to place emote images in your base/emotes folder.
This is not a server-sided add-on. You will only see an emote if you have the add-on and the emote file.
Also, are there some of them already within the mod?
Anyways, 3/5
2/5
Make it serverside, people who join ur server download your emotes & stuff
also make it in controls so you can open up a little menu to do which one
You might want to change description from Easy, to very difficult.
Ive done everything it said... ive made an emotes folder, put in a picture like Troll.png , what did i do wrong?
Emotes folder name = Emotes, put it in base folder,
put Troll.png in Emotes
Edit... Button?
What is this edit button you speak of, because there is no such thing on my screen
Maybe posting your chat emote images on the Blockland forums and share them with everybody.

Also guys, if you want an emote pack, get one from his BLF thread, found here: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=191873.0

@SWAT433, there is no edit button in-game, but there is one on the site (http://forum.returntoblockland.com).
Check the Blockland Forum thread (http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=191873.0). Port made a server-sided version which, unlike this one, is not on RTB, and I doubt he's going to upload it here.
